AFTERCARE

Following exact aftercare instructions is vital to successful results.

Note: those with oily/combination skin may need to incorporate oil-absorbing sheets into their aftercare routine to remove excess oils that can interfere with the healed results.

DAYS 1-3

The first three days will consist of dry healing. This means no water/liquids of any kind should come into contact with your tattoo.

DAYS 4-14

Apply the ointment provided by your artist 3x daily, sparingly, until your tattoo has healed (no longer flaking). Only use a small amount to hydrate and seal your tattoo, using too much of the ointment can delay healing as the skin needs to breathe.

During the initial healing period, there should be minimal scabbing or flaking of the skin. If there is some scabbing or flaking, do not pick, and allow the scab or dry skin to come off on its own. Please refer to the FAQ page for a more detailed description of the healing process.

**Do NOT use ANY products on healing brows except for the aftercare ointment provided by your artist**

*After your procedure please avoid the following for the first 14 days*

COSMETICS// Do NOT use cosmetics of any kind on your brows as these can interfere with your color and healing.

EXERCISE// Avoid heavy sweating.

GROOMING// Do not tweeze, wax, or perform electrolysis to brow area. Do not tint brow area for 4 weeks post procedure.

WATER// No swimming pools, jacuzzis, etc.  Taking a bath is recommended to keep brows from getting wet. When washing your face, use a washcloth to gently cleanse around your brow area without touching it. Take extra precaution to ensure no soaps or cleansers of any kind come in contact with your tattoo.

LONG TERM CARE

SKINCARE TREATMENTS// If you are planning a chemical peel, laser procedure or an MRI scan, please inform the technician/care provider of your permanent cosmetics. In addition, the use of Retin-A/Tretinoin, chemical peels or any other rapid skin exfoliation products used on the forehead area will cause the tattoo to fade prematurely. Continue at your own discretion.

SUN// It is recommended to apply sunscreen to the treated area once healed to avoid premature fading and discoloration.

WATER// Rinse brows well after swimming in chlorinated water.

COSMETICS, DAILY SKINCARE PRODUCTS, ETC.// All cosmetics and skincare products have chemicals, preservatives, or other ingredients that over time can prematurely fade your tattoo. To help keep your tattoo looking fresh for as long as possible, we recommend using clean beauty products. Click on the “SHOP” page to see some of our favorites.
